Looking for Halloween coloring pages? This free printable includes two sheets that kids can color and then cut to assemble their own 3-D haunted house. The simple design is perfect for younger children and makes a fun Halloween paper craft. Make it a glowing luminary by adding an LED tealight inside!

This easy Halloween project, inspired by Nadia at Teach Me Mommy, combines coloring and simple paper construction for a quick seasonal decoration. Paper crafts are budget-friendly and use supplies you likely already have at home. Whether you choose to make it a luminary or a stationary decoration, this 3-D haunted house—complete with black cats, witch hats, and broomsticks—adds a playful spooky touch to your Halloween display.
Haunted House Paper Craft Materials Needed:
The exact supplies depend on whether you want the finished house to be a luminary and on the weight of paper you choose. You can also embellish the house with stickers, glitter, or other craft accents for extra flair.
- Paper (standard printer paper or cardstock)
- Tape (clear tape works well)
- Scissors
- Markers, crayons, colored pencils, or paint
- White school glue
- Cardboard tube from a toilet paper or paper towel roll (optional, for stability)
- LED tealight candle (optional, flameless)
- Small paper punch (optional, useful for making tiny hole patterns on the roof)

How to Make this Halloween Coloring Page Craft
Start by printing the two coloring page sheets that form the house—one for the walls and one for the roof. You can use regular printer paper or sturdier cardstock for a more durable result. If you want extra support, insert a cardboard tube inside the assembled walls; a trimmed paper towel roll or toilet paper roll works well.
Color or paint both the wall and roof pieces, adding any decorative details you like. If you plan to make a luminary, consider punching small holes in the roof for light to shine through. A very small paper punch (about 1/8 inch) makes neat, even holes, or you can carefully pierce tiny holes with scissors.

Next, cut out the wall and roof pieces following the printed cut lines. Roll the wall rectangle into a tube and secure the seam with clear tape. Fold the roof circle into a cone and tape it in place. If the cone has an inner flap, either tape it flat inside or trim it off for a cleaner fit.

Place a few small dabs of white glue around the top edge of the tube and set the cone roof onto it. Hold briefly to ensure it adheres, then allow the glue to dry completely before moving the house. For extra stability, add a bit of tape where the roof meets the walls on the inside.

If you want the haunted house to glow, place a battery-operated LED tealight inside the tube. The punched holes or tiny openings around the roof will let the light shine through, creating a cozy, spooky effect without any flame.
