If you thought I was only testing vegan products, think again. I’m a big foodie who loves experimenting in the kitchen, and it would be selfish to keep great recipes to myself. One of my current favorites is sweet potato blondies. The recipe originates with Lisa Goes Vegan, a well-known Dutch blog that many readers may already follow.

Lisa writes about many aspects of vegan life, sharing delicious recipes, vegan hotspots, and thoughtful commentary on lifestyle topics. She recently published her first book, which is just one more reason I admire her work. If you don’t read Dutch, the recipe is worth translating — consider it a tasty scavenger hunt.
I met Lisa while attending a vegan breakfast tasting and later saw her again at a vegan brunch hosted by the sisters behind Go With The Glow. A photo from that event shows us together and you might have seen it in a previous post — proof of how much I enjoy food, judging by my enthusiastic snacking in the picture.
Beyond being a talented blogger, Lisa is a warm, engaging person who genuinely promotes a kinder, less cruel way of living.

My mom and I fell for this sweet potato blondie recipe immediately. I had to hide a few to save some for my grandparents, since these blondies make a perfect snack for them. They’re made without processed sugar or oil, are gluten-free and, of course, vegan. One is never enough, which is exactly why I had to tuck some away.
I’m happy to share this find — the recipe was too good to keep to myself. I’ll continue to post more recipes from some of my favorite bloggers around the world.
One love,
A.J.
