Nutella Rice Krispie Treats Recipe — Chocolate Hazelnut Crispy Squares

Crispy rice cereal bars loaded with Nutella!

Nutella Rice Krispie Treats

One chilly afternoon while watching a movie with the boys, I reached into the pantry for marshmallows and a half-empty bag of crispy rice cereal to make our usual krispie treats. This time I wanted something extra. I scanned the pantry for mix-ins—M&Ms, peanut butter, chocolate chips—and my eyes landed on a jar of Nutella. Jackpot!

Nutella Rice Krispie Treats

Nutella Rice Krispie Treats

These rice krispie treats are bursting with Nutella flavor—there’s almost a full jar in the recipe, so the chocolate-hazelnut taste is front and center. A sprinkle of coarse or flaked salt is optional but highly recommended; the sweet-and-salty contrast makes the Nutella shine. You can also skip the extra drizzle if you prefer, but why pass up the chance to add more of that delicious spread?

Add the salt, add the drizzle, and enjoy every bite.
